MakerSpace at the Kent Island Branch
We ask that you please respect the MakerSpace hours by completing projects within the day’s scheduled hours.
The Makerspace offers an environment for creativity, curiosity, and innovation. All skill levels are welcome to drop in and discover what we have to offer, including 3D printers, laser cutter, vinyl printer, sewing machines, and more.
All equipment is on a first-come, first-served basis. If there is a wait for MakerSpace equipment, a 2-hour time limit will be placed on projects.
The MakerSpace is a design, craft, and fabrication center that focuses on art and education. It is not a site for manufacturing or large-scale production services. Use of MakerSpace equipment is free. However, there may be a charge based on materials used.

Epilog Fusion Edge 24, 40-watt laser - Laser Engraver
The Epilog Fusion Edge provides high-quality engraving and cutting and accommodates the Rotary attachment for engraving wine bottles, mugs, tumblers, and more.
The Fusion Pro features a large work area of 24” x 24”. Engrave and/or cut marble, glass, acrylic, wood, plastic, and much more!
Vaquform
Vaquform is a manually operated vacuum-forming machine that can produce industrial-grade HIPS & PETG plastic moldings utilizing thick plastic sheets. The machine provides an easy-to-use user interface that is similar to what you might find in your smart appliances. The powerful ceramic heaters allow you to prepare the plastic sheet in a few minutes, while the built-in hybrid vacuum gives high accuracy and mold detail each production cycle.

The Kent Island MakerSpace has three 3D Printers available for use.

Build volume 7 x 7 x 7 inches
Great for small-scale jobs with low detail.
Prusa MK4
Build volume 9.84 x 8.3 x 8.6 inches
Perfect for larger-scale or more detailed print jobs.
Anycubic Photon Mono X2 Resin Printer
The Photon Mono X is a cutting edge resin printer with a 2-second per-layer cure time, XY resolution of .05mm, and a large print volume of 7.55 x 4.72 x 9.65 inches. The Wash and Cure station makes print rinsing and cleanup a breeze. This equipment is great for small, detailed, high-resolution projects.
Roland BN-20 Vinyl Printer/Cutter
The Roland BM-20 Vinyl Cutter is a precise and efficient cutter and printer for projects up to 24” x 24”. Use our matte, clear, or glossy films to create stickers, signage, window clings, and more!
Vinyl pricing: $1.50 per foot for Black & White/$2 per foot for color
SINGER START 1304 Sewing Machines
Use one of our 5 sewing machines to create a fabric masterpiece or spruce up something you already have at home. Sewing thread is available in several colors for machines and staff are available for simple instruction.
Flourish II Embroidery Machine
Our embroidery machine allows you to personalize fabric with 13 embroidery fonts and 181 built-in embroidery designs. Embroidery thread and simple instructions are provided.
Cricut Maker 3
The Cricut Maker 3 is an electronic cutting machine that can be used on over 300 materials.
WACOM Cintiq 16” Graphics Tablet
This is a great digital art tablet for beginners! The tablet and pen feature everything you need to comfortably create digital art. Come in and try your hand at a new creative project.
Adobe Creative Cloud
The Creative Cloud All Apps plan has 20+ creative apps, including Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro, After Effects, InDesign, and Acrobat Pro. You also get templates and thousands of fonts from the Adobe Fonts library. Come into the MakerSpace and use our licensed products for graphic design.
