Thank you for a successful Summer Reading 2026!
More than 3,000 community members participated in Summer Reading this year, and we hosted 193 programs with 5,521 attendees throughout the season.

What is Summer Reading?
The Queen Anne’s County Summer Reading Program occurs each June - August. Summer Reading is full of great programs, book clubs, prizes, and reading challenges, encouraging participation for people of all ages and interests. Summer Reading is for everyone from birth to adult to join in the fun!
How do I participate?
Stop into any Branch of QACL or the Mobile Library to register for Summer Reading. You will receive a Summer Reading Guide with our events, game boards, and more as well as a FREE Summer Reading T-shirt (youth participants) or Summer Reading Tote Bag (adult participants).
You can also participate online, using our Beanstack platform. Beanstack offers reading challenges and prizes throughout the summer.
How do I attend Summer Reading events?
All Summer Reading events are open to the public, with no registration required. Just come out and participate in the awesome Summer Reading activities we have planned.
