What is Summer Reading?

The Queen Anne’s County Summer Reading Program theme for 2024 is “Adventure Begins At Your Library.” Using this theme, we will have programs, book clubs, events, and reading challenges encouraging participation for people of all ages and interests. Summer Reading is for everyone from birth to adult to join in the fun!

How do I participate?

Come into the Centreville, Kent Island, or Mobile Library locations to register for Summer Reading and pick up your FREE Summer Reading t-shirt, while supplies last. You will also receive your Summer Reading Guide which includes a calendar of events, gameboards to complete and turn in at the end of Summer for free books, and more! Each time you visit the Library, you can enter to win great Summer Reading prizes all Summer.

You can also participate online using our Beanstack app. The link for Beanstack is: https://qaclibrary.beanstack.com/reader365 Users can participate in earning badges and enter to win bi-weekly prizes for all ages.

How do I attend Summer Reading events?

All Summer Reading events are open to the public, with no registration required. Just come out and participate in the awesome Summer Reading activities we have planned.
